Northumberland Psychological Service is seeking to appoint an Assistant Educational Psychologist to enhance our team and support the Be You Mental Health Support Teams in Northumberland. The successful candidate will join a highly valued service by schools, settings, and stakeholders. Working alongside and supervised by Educational Psychologists, the successful applicant will engage in preventative and early intervention work, as well as supporting statutory assessment processes.
The Service maintains good links with Newcastle University and hosts doctoral trainees regularly.
This post is suitable for individuals with an honours degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) and experience working with children and young people. The position is fixed-term for one year and is designed for those interested in pursuing formal training to become an Educational Psychologist.
