Overview
Delivery Manager role at SSE plc. Base location options include Glasgow, Perth, Inverness, Aberdeen, Reading or Havant. Fixed Term Contract | Full Time | Flexible First options available. Salary £50,100 - £75,100 plus a performance-related bonus and benefits.
The role
We are embedding agility in our ways of working where possible, building capability for a digital SSE of the future, and meeting the needs of our customers in a new way. As OT Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for leading solution development teams to realise the product roadmap.
You Will
* Managing the upgrade and extension of control room technologies.
* Leading the delivery of technology solutions with focus on tangible business outcomes in accordance with the business strategy, using appropriate methodologies such as Agile, Prince2, APM and PMP.
* Establishing and maintaining highly effective relationships with delivery teams, stakeholders at all levels and business teams to ensure interfaces work correctly.
* Managing the product and delivery teams, and wider stakeholders as required, across end-to-end product lifecycle to ensure systems/services deliver the specified outcomes, within budget and timescale, without introducing technical debt.
* Ensuring successful transition to service, meaning that change lands well and meets business needs.
* Analyze problems, action and progress issues as appropriate, ensuring follow through to resolution and removing blockers and providing input into governance processes.
You Have
* Experience of delivering complex projects, demonstrating and meeting business value and outcomes as well as experience of managing project budgets.
* Ability to work in environments that are undergoing change, operating in an iterative and adaptive manner.
* Experience in enabling behaviour change, communication and influencing skills with a strong degree of personal resilience to enable effective change in how we work.
* Experience in applying various waterfall (e.g., Prince2, APM, PMP) and Agile methodologies and supporting governance, processes and culture across different levels of portfolio.
* Knowledge of development processes, including but not limited to DevOps, Scrum, Kanban and lean development.
