About the role

This role sits within the Talent Acquisition Team and reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition & Employability. You’ll act as the strategic Talent Acquisition partner for the One Health portfolio, covering Healthcare, Opticians and Pharmacy, with no direct reports and no ownership of day‑to‑day recruitment delivery.

Your focus is on turning workforce plans into clear, insight‑led talent acquisition strategies that support service transformation and future skills needs. You’ll work closely with TA Managers, People Partners, Programme Boards and senior leaders to anticipate demand and move recruitment from reactive to planned and sustainable.

Key responsibilities

* Leading short‑, medium‑ and long‑term workforce and talent acquisition strategies across One Health
* Acting as the senior TA advisor in workforce planning and Programme Board discussions
* Translating complex workforce demand into prioritised, practical talent strategies
* Partnering with the wider TA leadership team to support you in representing their labour market insights, attraction approaches and strategies within the programme boards
* Identifying workforce risks and producing forward‑looking insight for senior stakeholders
* This is a strategic, consultative role, not an operational recruitment position.

What you’ll need to have

* Experience in strategic talent acquisition and workforce planning OR; a Healthcare qualification and now seeking an opportunity to develop further in a People Function
* Proven ability to operate as a trusted, consultative partner to senior stakeholders
* Experience working in complex, regulated or large‑scale workforce environments
* Ability to translate strategy into clear, actionable plans without owning delivery
* Confidence influencing, challenging constructively and working without direct authority
* Experience operating in change or transformation contexts

It would be great if you also have

* Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, optometry or similar regulated professions
* Strong analytical skills ideally including demand forecasting and scenario planning
* Exposure to large‑scale service or transformation
* Experience exploring alternative workforce models or long‑term talent pipelines

Rewards

* Boots Retirement Savings Plan
* Discretionary annual bonus
* Generous employee discounts
* Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave pay and gift card for anyone expecting or adopting a child
* Flexible benefits scheme including option to buy additional holiday, discounted gym membership, life assurance, activity passes and much more.
* Access to free, 24/7 counselling and support through TELUS Health, our Employee Assistance Programme.
