Position: Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester
Location: Lancaster
Hours: 39 hours per week
Schedule: 4-day working week on a rotating basis, with the day off changing weekly
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum, plus Bonuses & Overtime
Requirements:
Qualifications: Must hold a valid MOT Tester License (Class 4 and 7).
Experience: Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester, preferably within a Main Dealer environment.
Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults, including electrical and mechanical issues.
Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of vehicle systems and components.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair.
Customer Service: Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of professionalism.Responsibilities:
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition.
Diagnosis and Repair: Identify vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and repair them efficiently and effectively.
MOT Testing: Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service and repair history.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to discuss vehicle issues, provide recommendations, and address concerns.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to coordinate workflow and assist with complex repairs.
Adherence to Procedures: Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines, at all times.
Continued Learning: Stay updated on industry developments and technological advancements to enhance skills and knowledge.
