About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Office Assistant to join a reputable legal firm in Scotland. This is a fully office-based role where you will play an essential part in supporting the day-to-day running of a busy practice. You’ll be the kind of person who thrives in a professional environment, enjoys variety in their workload, and takes pride in delivering excellent administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide general administrative support across the office, including document preparation, filing, scanning, and archiving.
* Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including post, couriers, and email management.
* Maintain accurate records and databases in line with firm policies.
* Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner.
* Support fee earners and wider teams with ad-hoc administrative tasks.
* Ensure the smooth running of office supplies, stationery, and equipment.
* Contribute to maintaining a professional and welcoming office environment.
Requirements
* At least 1 year’s office-based experience in a professional setting (legal, financial, property, accountancy, or similar).
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
* Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
* A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
