Overview

Procurement Manager – Orpington, Kent


Role

As a Procurement Manager, you will work within a close-knit team to support the Senior Management Team in delivering high-value services across multiple clients. You will apply a high degree of rigour and thoroughness to ensure all procurement processes and governance meet the highest standards.


Responsibilities

* Leading and supporting clients in developing procurement strategies from project inception to completion.
* Preparing full procurement suites, including contract folders, specifications, KPIs, and price frameworks.
* Ensuring compliance with the Procurement Act 2023, ethical sourcing, and diversity initiatives.
* Acting as a central point of contact for clients and contractors, managing clarifications, assessment summaries, and technical marking moderation.
* Leading client meetings, preparing agendas, and delivering accurate data and pricing analysis reports.
* Evaluating and providing feedback to contractors and service providers to ensure the best outcomes for our schemes.


About You

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.


Essential Experience & Skills

* Public Sector Expertise: Demonstrable experience in public sector procurement, with a strong understanding of the Procurement Act 2023.
* Analytical Mindset: Proven ability in data/pricing analysis and managing high contract value processes.
* Critical Thinking: The ability to understand complex processes and make informed judgements to solve client problems.
* Technical Proficiency: High-level capabilities in MS Word and Excel, with the ability to formulate complex information into clear messages for various audiences.
* Accountability: A track record of taking ownership of projects and maintaining high quality throughout their lifecycle.


Desirable Qualifications

* Working towards CIPS or PRINCE2 qualified.
* Working knowledge of the Section 20 leaseholder consultation process.
* Broad understanding of the social housing sector.
