About the Role
The role is being offered on an initial 12 month Fixed Term Contract with the view to it becoming permanent for the successful candidate.
We are looking for an experienced Shooter/ Editor to join our exciting and expanding creative department.
Creative and innovative, the ideal candidate is passionate about the beautiful game from the grassroots to professional levels. We live at the intersection of fashion, music, youth and football culture so we are receptive to candidates from these worlds with demonstrable capabilities of delivering engaging and impactful branded video content to a global audience for our client brands.
The successful candidate will require the ability to deliver compelling storytelling in executing video content ideas to tight deadlines. The Shooter/ Editor will be a pivotal cog in the Production team closely aligned to FootballCo’s Creative and Design teams to support the creation of content that will engage our audience and be transferred across global markets on behalf of our clients.
They must have excellent photographic and post-production skills and possess a deep understanding of what makes engaging content on social platforms.
What you'll be doing:
* Researching, planning, and developing video concepts.
* Project management inclusive of storyboarding, shoot planning, file ingest, editing, grade/ audio-mix supervision and project archiving.
* Primary point of contact to advise on any footage, image music and font licensing requirements.
* Deliver content to required technical specifications.
* Ensure safety of all crew and talent engaged on FootballCo productions.
* Accurate post-production timeline planning with strong consideration toward commercial imperatives.
* Knowledge of the rights management ecosystem relating to football content.
* Firm understanding of post-production workflows inclusive of 2D/ 3D motion production pipelines, inclusive of editing, grading, audio mixing, formatting and distribution requirements across social platforms.
* Ability to ascertain filming and post-production requirements to optimally deliver creative concepts within time constraints.
What you have:
* Multiskilled creative with proven experience as a shooter and editor of branded and editorial sports related content.
* Strong background of moving image content creation and associated technologies with a particular focus on requirements to film premium content utilising a range of budgets.
* You possess a healthy number of films in your portfolio if only short form.
* Proven capabilities working as a shooting director or collaboratively with a director in eliciting talent performances and dynamically capturing content.
* Capability to collaborate with Creative, Production and Motion Design teams.
* A comprehensive understanding of requirements to execute low-end to mid-end shoot productions using the full potential of filming with Sony FS7 cameras at the least and including knowledge of associated kit relating to lenses, lighting, camera mounts and accessories required to adaptively film in a range of conditions and situations.
* Demonstrably proficient capabilities in using Adobe Premiere editing tool and a working knowledge of Creative Cloud primarily After Effects.
* A team player capable of collaborating with producers, creatives, account managers and strategists to create compelling work.
* Experienced in understanding on-set risk assessments and all Health & Safety production protocols for both Covid and non-Covid worlds.
