About the role Were looking for a senior leader to drive the strategy, performance, and continuous evolution of all Supply Chain systems across Matalans logistics network. This includes Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), automation solutions, and operational reporting. Youll act as a trusted business partner to Supply Chain and operational leaders, defining system and data capabilities, leading programme-level change, and ensuring platforms mature beyond go-live. This is a succession-focused role for the Head of Supply Chain Solutions & Systems. Key Responsibilities Lead Supply Chain systems strategy and end-to-end solution design. Oversee WMS, WCS, automation platforms, and integrated reporting. Drive system-led process improvements, transformation, and post-go-live optimisation. Own test strategy, governance, change control, and system quality. Lead, develop, and build high-performing systems teams. Partner with IT, Central Data, vendors, and cross-functional leaders. Ensure data is reliable, usable, and insight-driven for operational decisions. About You Strong operational understanding of distribution centre and Supply Chain processes. Experience leading complex system solutions and programmes. Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and data-driven decisions.
