In this role, you’ll play an important part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, trainees, and visitors across the site. You’ll ensure high standards of hygiene and presentation in all areas, helping to create a positive and professional working atmosphere. Key Responsibilities Complete scheduled cleaning tasks across a range of areas, including offices, classrooms, meeting rooms, kitchens, and washrooms. Replenish consumables such as hand soap, sanitiser, paper towels, and toilet roll. Strip and make beds, supply, and sort clean linen for accommodation blocks where required. Follow all company and site-specific policies, including infection control, security, and COSHH regulations. Conduct all activities safely, wearing appropriate PPE and following Sodexo’s health and safety procedures. Report any safety concerns, faulty equipment, or maintenance issues to your line manager promptly. Maintain flexibility to assist with cleaning duties in other areas and to cover for colleagues during holidays or absences. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, ensuring all cleaning standards are consistently met. Undertake any required training, including security awareness and first aid, to support your role. Essential Requirements Proven experience in a similar cleaning role within a corporate, service, or institutional environment. Strong understanding of hygiene, health and safety, and infection control standards. Good communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work well within a team. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards. Ability to use initiative while maintaining a professional and proactive approach. Willingness to undertake additional training relevant to the role. Ability to work in line with data protection regulations at all times. Must be willing to undergo security checks (BPSS minimum) as required by the client.
