Children and Young People MentorAnnual Salary: £95 - £110 per dayLocation: Redhill Job Type: Full-timeWe are seeking a dedicated SEN School Mentor to join our educational team in Redhill. This role is designed for a compassionate individual who is committed to supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The ideal candidate will act as a positive role model, inspiring students through diligence and a strong work ethic, and fostering the right attitudes towards learning.Day-to-day of the role:Provide targeted mentoring to students with SEN, focusing on their individual academic and social development.Build strong, trusting relationships with students, encouraging and motivating them to achieve their full potential.Work closely with teaching staff to implement and adapt learning strategies that cater to the specific needs of each student.Monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting strategies as needed to support continuous improvement.Promote positive behaviour and learning attitudes in the classroom, demonstrating the importance of diligence and proper etiquette.Actively participate in school meetings and training sessions to stay updated on the latest educational strategies and standards.Required Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience in mentoring or supporting children, particularly those with special educational needs.A patient and caring approach, coupled with a strong commitment to enhancing student welfare and educational outcomes.Passionate about assisting children who require additional support, with a focus on developing their independence and self-confidence.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals.A robust work ethic and the ability to inspire students through personal example.Benefits:Competitive daily rate.Opportunities for professional development and training in SEN support and child psychology.Fulfilling and impactful role in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.Being part of a team that values innovation and a holistic approach to education.To apply for this SEN School Mentor position, please submit your CV and cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are passionate about this role.
