Overview
Aim: To provide the highest standards of customer service in a quick & efficient manner. Objectives: Effective and accurate cash handling and reconciliation as laid out in hotel till procedures, policies; to have a welcoming and friendly approach and uphold the standards set; to be highly motivated and show initiative; to have excellent communication and computer skill; to liaise with other departments in an efficient manner; to ensure effective operation of the switchboard; to assist the head receptionist in the smooth running of the front of house department; to show attention to detail; to order and store stock required in a timely and efficient manner; adhere to all company policies and rules; to observe all requirements under Health & Safety at Work Act 1989; to provide mentoring in areas of responsibility; to uphold the standards and reputation of the Hotel at all times; any other duties as required.
Responsibilities
* Day-to-day operation of a busy Reception Desk
* Effective and accurate cash handling and reconciliation as laid out in hotel till procedures, policies
* Liase with other departments in an efficient manner
* Effective operation of the switchboard
* Assist the head receptionist in the smooth running of the front of house department
* Order and store stock required in a timely and efficient manner
* Adhere to all company policies and rules
* Observe all requirements under Health & Safety at Work Act 1989
* Provide mentoring in areas of responsibility
* Uphold the standards and reputation of the Hotel at all times
* Any other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications
* Fluent English in order to converse effectively with guests
* Previous experience in a previous role
