Role Overview
As a Special Projects Surveyor focused on Major Works, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and management of a variety of significant projects. Your expertise will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee major works projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
* Conduct thorough feasibility studies and site assessments to inform project planning.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies.
* Prepare detailed project budgets, timelines, and reports, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project life cycle.
* Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks and ensure successful outcomes.
* Provide expert advice on technical matters and project specifications, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
* Ensure that health, safety, and environmental considerations are integrated into all project activities.
Qualifications and Skills
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Relevant professional qualification (eg, MRICS or equivalent) is desirable.
* Proven experience in managing major works projects, ideally within a similar role or industry.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
