We have an exciting opportunity to join our team based in Stromness. Working in our busy terminal, you'll be part of our Customer Service team, which works hard to provide a high-quality service to customers within one of Transport's flagship contracts, NorthLink Ferries. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will make reservations and assist in the effective running of the department as part of a team that strives to deliver a great experience for each passenger.
This position is well suited to individuals who enjoy working in a customer-facing role and want to be part of a program supporting your development toward a long and successful career.
Responsibilities include making customer reservations via telephone, email, and in person, assisting with check-in and boarding passengers, and security duties, all while adhering to the business's Health, Safety, and Environment policies.
The role requires a commitment to delivering excellent customer service, following standards, and possessing good organizational skills. We seek a team player with a can-do attitude, initiative, ownership, and a commitment to personal development, aligned with Serco's values of Trust, Care, Innovation, and Pride. Good communication skills with the public and team members, and confidence in using phones and computers, are essential.
