Science Technician at Highbury Fields School. Salary grade: NJC Pay Scale 5-6, £34,359 to £38,637 per annum (depending on experience). Pro rata term time only plus 1 week (actual salary £30,574-£34,381). 35 hours per week (with possible regular overtime).

What is the role?
The school is seeking to appoint a Science Technician to join the science department. This is an important and busy role providing technical support, ensuring laboratory equipment is functioning and ready to use, and that the right materials are available for lessons. The successful candidate will be a valued member of our teaching and non-teaching team. The role also involves varied administration responsibilities, including media resources and front-line IT support.
Applications are welcome from recent science graduates with lab-based experience (including experience during university courses) who are looking to start their careers in education, as well as from more experienced colleagues. Highbury Fields School has a track record of developing graduates who are willing to undertake necessary training for this role.
