Crieff Hydro Hotel
Pretty much in the centre of Scotland, we’re set in a 900acre estate in stunning Perthshire. Home from home, we’ve been welcoming generations of families for 150 years. We have 215 hotel bedrooms, 55 self-catering lodges, six restaurants and over 60 onsite activities– there really is something for everyone!
About the role
We love our restaurants and so do our guests. We are looking for someone who is going to be as passionate about great food, wine and customer service as we are. You’ll get to talk to our many customers and make sure they’re having a great time; we want all our guests to experience great hospitality.
First impressions really count, and you’ll make sure our customers’ needs are always met, and inspire the wider team to do the same. You’ll know all of our products so you can recommend particular dishes and wines from our menu. In our off season we host a range of events from private dining to large corporate events. The ability to move from resturaunts and know how to operate large conferences will help you succeed.
This is a hands-on role, reporting to our Head of Food and Beverage to support accross the 6 different restaurants, cafes and bars across the hotel, including our freshly refurbished £5 million project Winter Garden space. No two days will be the same which offers an exciting challenge to work with a fun and friendly team of over 110 people.
What we need from you
1. Experience of scale - with restaurants and event spaces that can welcome over 1,200 people per day, we need someone with experience working in such a busy environment and can be calm under the pressure
2. Rota management and multi venue experience is essential
3. Passion for quality service
4. Team focus – there are no egos here, just hard-working people who love creating memorable experiences for every guest, and we need to instill this ethos across our teams
What you’ll get from us
5. Up to £50,000 per annum DOE, plus a share of service charge (estimated £2,000 per annum).
6. Live-in Accommodation – On-site, affordable housing with bills included may be available. Most rooms are single occupancy with an ensuite, though this isn’t guaranteed. Availability and rates (set by HMRC) can be discussed at interview.
