Job Description

We are looking for a leader who can confidently manage subcontractor performance, uphold strict Health and Safety controls, and maintain strong communication links with ISS, SPV, NHSL, service managers and local teams.

This position plays a key role in supporting operational efficiency and maintaining excellence across all compliance, documentation and service delivery activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure subcontractors comply with all Health & Safety legislation, approved RA/SSOW, PPE requirements and permit-to-work procedures.
2. Maintain subcontractor accreditation checks, annual inductions and professional presentation standards.
3. Manage subcontractor delivery of PPM and reactive tasks, ensuring completion within required fix dates.
4. Oversee receipt, verification and timely upload of all compliance documentation to ISS, SPV and NHSL portals.
5. Control financial commitments, track subcontractor costs and ensure accurate P&L, journal and forecast inputs.
6. Ensure value for money in subcontractor procurement, prioritising ISS Preferred Suppliers where possible.
7. Maintain effective communication with Hard FM leaders, supervisors and administration teams to support operational continuity.
8. Attend review meetings, report incidents and build strong working relationships with service users and ISS managers.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

9. Minimum HND in a Building Services discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
10. Technical management experience in Hard FM or a related field.
11. Knowledge of financial procedures, including KPI and WOR reporting.
12. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
13. Ability to interpret and interrogate complex information and data.
14. Proficient user of Microsoft Word and Excel.
15. Excellent organisational skills and strong numeracy.
16. Ability to understand and support budget management.
