If you’re currently working in Field Sales or have the talent to match your ambition to thrive in the biggest and best Food Service sales force, and are passionate about forging a career in sales, we have a fantastic opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join our Independent Sales Team.
What you'll be doing:
1. Build and leverage strong customer relationships through a natural curiosity in the independent sector.
2. Grow and retain customers, delivering profitable volume growth against targets.
3. Partner with your customers to understand their growth plans, add value, and offer a wide range of practical solutions and products.
4. Understand competitor activity and proposals, ensuring you always offer the best local solutions.
5. Work proactively with the Business Development Manager to understand new customer requirements and ensure a successful handover.
6. Act as a brand ambassador for Brakes in your local market.
You should be highly service-focused, putting the customer at the heart of everything you do, providing the best solutions to support and enhance their business. Being tenacious and resilient, you’re a self-starter with the drive and determination to succeed, with demonstrable experience of delivering against targets. You’ll also be self-motivated to develop yourself continuously, seeking improvement by learning from a diverse range of skills and experiences, and participating in various Learning & Development programmes. There are opportunities to progress into a wide range of commercial roles to develop your career further.
Confidence with adopting our modernisation programme and new technology to improve the customer experience and optimise performance is essential. Experience with Salesforce is not essential but would be advantageous.
