Our mission is to improve the accessibility, effectiveness and excellence of healthcare product information.

Director of FP&A

Division: Central

Department: Finance

Reporting to: CFO

Level: Director

Role Overview

As Director of FP&A, you will lead the development of a forward-looking, data-driven view of business performance, enabling high-quality decision-making at pace across the organisation.

You will own forecasting, planning, and performance insight, working closely with the CFO and senior leadership to ensure capital is deployed effectively and growth is delivered in a controlled, scalable way.

You will own the finance data model and planning architecture, ensuring a single, trusted view of performance across the business. You will challenge and shape executive decision-making, making trade-offs explicit and grounded in data.

This role goes beyond traditional FP&A. You will play a central role in improving how data is used across the business, working closely with Product and Technology teams to ensure finance fully leverages the company’s data platform and tooling.

You will lead and develop a Commercial Finance Analyst and work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure alignment between planning, reporting, and control.

Key Responsibilities

Planning, Forecasting & Performance

· Own the annual budgeting process and rolling forecast, ensuring alignment across Commercial, Product, and Technology.

· Develop and maintain driver-based forecasting models, linking revenue, pricing, churn, and cost drivers to operational activity.

· Deliver clear, decision-ready reporting on business performance, including SaaS metrics (ARR, LTV, CAC, margin, retention).

· Improve forecast accuracy, transparency, and accountability across the organisation.

· Improve visibility and control over unit economics, margin and cash generation, supporting efficient and scalable growth.

Business Partnering & Decision Support

· Act as a senior finance partner to Commercial, Product, and Technology leaders.

· Build robust investment cases (NPV, IRR, ROI, payback) for new products, pricing changes, and strategic initiatives.

· Support pricing strategy, commercial decision-making, and resource allocation.

· Challenge assumptions constructively and ensure decisions are grounded in data.

· Provide clear, concise insight to support senior leadership and investor discussions.

Data, Systems & Finance Architecture

· Own the finance data model and planning architecture, ensuring consistency across systems, reporting, and forecasting.

· Work closely with Product and Data teams to leverage platforms such as Databricks, expanding data availability and improving the quality and speed of insight.

· Play a key role in developing an increasingly AI-enabled finance function, leveraging tools to improve insight generation, automation, and decision support.

· Define and implement scalable planning and reporting processes, reducing manual effort and increasing speed.

Strategic Insight & Growth Support

· Support long-term planning through scenario modelling and strategic planning cycles.

· Identify risks and opportunities through sensitivity and scenario analysis.

· Support strategic projects (including potential M&A and investment opportunities) as required.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

· Work in close partnership with the Financial Controller to ensure consistency between actuals, forecasts, and reporting outputs.

· Embed best practice in FP&A processes, controls, and documentation.

· Improve reporting quality, cycle times, and decision support across the business.

· Support the development of a high-performing, scalable finance function.

What you’ll need to succeed

Relevant Experience & Qualifications

· Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).

· ~5+ years’ post-qualified experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or similar roles.

· Strong experience in a SaaS or recurring revenue business.

· Experience operating in a high-growth and/or private equity-backed environment.

Aptitude, Skills & Abilities

· High level of commercial judgement and ability to influence senior stakeholders.

· Comfortable working at pace and handling ambiguity.

· Strong financial modelling capability, including driver-based planning and scenario analysis.

· Able to go beyond traditional spreadsheet-based analysis, using modern tools and data platforms to drive better outcomes.

Behaviours & Attributes
