Autism Support Assistant

We're on the hunt for anAutism Support Assistantto join a fantastic specialist Team working closely with out SEN Team, partnering with specialist SEND Schools across Salford, Bolton and Warrington. You'll be stepping into a vibrant, warm, and highly supportive environment whereevery day is differentandevery student is unique.
You'll be working closely with students who may have:
* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)- which can impact how students communicate, interact socially, and process the world around them.
* Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)- meaning some students need extra time and support with things like reading, writing, speaking, or daily routines.
* Other additional needs- this might include speech and language difficulties, sensory processing challenges, anxiety, or behaviours that communicate unmet needs.
These young people arebrilliant, full of potential, and just need the right support to shine - that's where you come in.
This isn't a sit-at-the-desk type of job. Here's a snapshot of your day:
* Supporting students1:1 or in small groups, helping them stay engaged and feel safe in their learning environment.
* Using strategies likevisual aids, structured routines, sensory regulation, andpositive behaviour supportto help students succeed.
* Encouraging communication and confidence - whether that's helping a student learn a new word, develop friendships, or simply feel heard and understood.
* Working closely withteachers, therapists, and other TAsto deliver tailored learning and care plans.
* Helping students learn essential life skills, build independence, and enjoy their school day.

* Are a psychology graduate, youth worker, carer, or just someone with the heart and patience to make a difference.

* Are passionate about inclusion, equality, and seeing students for who they are -not just their diagnosis.
