Fast-growing service provider based in the Rochdale area requires a Management Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a newly created role due to business growth that will offer significant progression opportunities for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Management Accountant, be qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), and possess a few years of PQE. The role offers progression and development as the business expands. The candidate should have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines. Experience with Sage 200 is a plus.
Duties of the Role
1. Preparing and consolidating monthly management accounts
2. Leading the month-end process and supporting Board reporting
3. Managing two direct reports (Assistant Management Accountant and Purchase Ledger Accountant)
4. Providing commercial insight, including profitability analysis and tender support
5. Supporting refinancing and M&A processes
6. Overseeing reconciliations and ensuring robust financial controls
7. Preparing VAT returns, audit information, and investor reports
8. Supporting the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
