The Mails Operation at Douglas Sorting Office is seeking to recruit Temporary Delivery Post Persons. Successful candidates must be flexible with regard to days of attendance which will include Saturday/Sunday. A variety of working patterns are available to include rotational weekends. We would also be interested in hearing from candidates who are available for Weekend working only. Please specify your availability within your application.
Full training will be offered.
The Role
The role will include (but are not limited to):
* Loading and unloading vehicles
* Use of PDA to scan items accurately
* Collecting, sorting, preparing and delivering mail
* Lifting and transporting of mail items up to 30kgs each
* Driving an IOMPO vehicle
Key Skills
We are looking for someone who:
* A Full manual driving licence (not on R Plates)
* Has good communication skills
* The ability to work as part of a team
* Flexibility, self-motivation and shows initiative
* Good knowledge of postal products and services
* The ability to work quickly and accurately
