Nottinghamshire County Council's Registration & Celebratory Service aims to deliver the best possible experience to those officially registering life's most significant events, such as births, deaths, marriages, civil partnerships or gaining citizenship; as well as producing accurate legal records and certificates of those events.
We are recruiting a Registration Support Officer based in the North area of the service, with service points in Newark, Worksop and Retford. The regular work base for this position is Newark, but you may be required, on occasions, to work flexibly across the whole area as necessary.
This front-line, office-based role is to vital to all our services as the first point of contact for the majority of customers. Responsibilities include booking appointments and ceremonies, searching electronic records and producing certificates, handling enquiries (face-to-face, phone and written), processing payments, and supporting the team with administrative tasks. You will also be required to undertake training to officiate and register ceremonies as part of the office team.
