Your New Role
Southend City Council is looking to appoint an experienced Environmental Enforcement Officer. You will work as part of a team to ensure environmental issues such as enforcement and highway inspections are addressed across the City.
You will engage with community organizations to address local concerns, develop partnerships in a multi-agency approach to combat enviro-crime, and reduce anti-social behaviors through creative and preventative methods. You will also monitor and ensure access to services while crossing cultural and language barriers.
You will work on an area basis to tackle issues like fly-tipping, littering, dog fouling, abandoned vehicles, fly-posting, etc., through education, advice, and enforcement based on relevant legislation.
Note: You will be required to attend occasional evening meetings to meet business needs.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Effective communication across different stakeholders is essential. A full and valid driving license is mandatory for your application to be considered.
