Solv-X are an expanding importer and distributor of an extensive range of Consumer Accessories encompassing Personal, Home and Stationery products.
We supply over 8000 retailers in Ireland and the UK, with premises outside Newry and Dundalk. Established in 1994, we have over 60 full-time and 20 part-time colleagues.
Our Product range includes our own Solv-X branded range as well as leading brands such as FIFO, Bic, Murphy & Barrett candles, Favour and Little Tree.
Role Description
At Solv-X, we are proud to offer innovative products that meet the needs of our retail customers. To help us continue expanding, we have an opportunity for a “Product Manager” to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for gaps in consumer non-food product offerings and an innovative mindset for filling them. They should be a highly skilled market analyst with a proven ability to strategise the full lifecycle of a product, from conception to release. We’re looking for a confident leader who can guide the creation of products that improve our retail customers' non-food ranges.
Objectives of this role
* Define the product range strategy and roadmap.
* Developing products through insights from market research and customer buying behaviour
* Establishing strategies for product pricing and positioning.
* Defining the key features, specifications and requirements of products based on customer preferences
* Conducting competitor research to learn more about customers’ needs
* Developing joint business plans with brand partners and factories.
Responsibilities
* Managing the budgets involved with product development
* Managing product launches and marketing campaigns.
* Performing profit analysis and forecasting to develop or improve product marketing strategies
* Creating project timeline and implementation schedules.
* Monitor, report and improve product performance
* Promote the product to sales teams through sales training sessions, webinars, newsletters and other mechanisms
Required skills and qualifications
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
* Experience in a dynamic product management role
* Capable of overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
* High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams
Preferred skills and qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business or a similar discipline.
* Demonstrable knowledge of SEM (search engine marketing) and online advertising

* Report tothe Managing Director
* WFH or in office? Predominantly office-based, with the option of some WFH
* Benefits and Salary? £49k/ €58k + bonus negotiable based on experience.
* What is the spending they oversee? approx. €9m.
* When do they hope to interview? 1-2 weeks.
* Dress code- Smart casual,
* Hours: 9 am-5 pm, Monday - Friday, (3 pm Friday).
