Job Title: Night Care Practitioner Location: Littlehampton Hours: 36 hours per week Shift Pattern: Night shifts – 20:00 to 08:00 (Friday, Saturday, and one flexible night during the week) Start: Immediate start available Job Overview We are currently recruiting for Night Care Practitioners to join a well-established residential care home in Littlehampton. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced care professionals who are confident working night shifts and delivering high-quality, person-centred care. As a Night Care Practitioner, you will support residents throughout the night, ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing. You will work independently while maintaining high standards of care and responding promptly to residents’ needs. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with night-time routines, including preparing for bed and morning wake-up support. Provide personal care while maintaining dignity and respect. Conduct regular welfare checks throughout the night. Respond promptly to call bells and resident requests. Support residents with continence care in line with care plans. Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any concerns or changes to senior staff. Assist with repositioning residents to ensure comfort and prevent pressure sores. Provide emotional reassurance and support where required. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment during night shifts. Follow safeguarding procedures and all care home policies. Complete all necessary documentation and handover reports for day staff. Follow care plan updates and guidance from senior staff. Participate in mandatory training and professional development. Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times.
