Job Overview
Newly Qualified Social Workers will commence on Grade 9 pay and job description before progressing to grade 10 after 2 years in post. Experienced social workers will commence at Grade 10 pay and job description. Both job descriptions can be viewed below. This position qualifies for a market supplement payment of £200 per month. Please note this additional payment will be reviewed on 31 March 2026. The successful candidate may be eligible for up to a maximum of £8,000 (including VAT) toward the cost of expenses incurred due to relocating to Ceredigion. Key Responsibilities
Assess, support and engage people experiencing mental health issues in becoming independent. Work throughout Ceredigion and be part of a team that makes this happen, with close support and supervision.
Qualifications / Requirements
Both newly qualified and experienced social workers are eligible. High-level qualifications and experience as described. An Enhanced DBS check will be required; previous convictions will not automatically disqualify applicants, they will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.

* Planned Care: Adults and Children’s Care and Support and Statutory Interventions Team
* Extended Support: Adult and Children’s Disability Team & Mental Capacity Specialist Support Team
* Substance Misuse: Substance Misuse Team, Youth Justice Statutory Team and IFSS/Edge of Care Team
* Mental Wellbeing: Mental Health and AMHP Team, School Counselling Team
* Safeguarding & Quality Improvement: Adult and Children’s Safeguarding Team, Independent Reviewing and Quality Assurance Team
