We are looking for an enthusiastic Young Person’s Outreach Volunteer to join our friendly and supportive team. The Corner provides support and treatment to young people under 18 in the Sheffield area who are experiencing problems with drugs and alcohol. Where: Sheffield city centre, at the office and operational sites in the local community. When: We will work with you to be as flexible as possible, whether you can donate one day a week of your time or 3 days. Volunteer Expenses: Travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed as per CGL volunteer policy. Key activities of the role – Build positive relationships with the young people we support Support in providing confidential, easily accessible and non-judgmental advice around substance misuse to the people we support and their families in the community and ‘drop in’ sessions Assist in the promotion of the service to young people, their families and partner agencies and other professionals Support in the preparation and delivery of outreach groupwork/stall sessions in local schools, colleges to young people Opportunity to support in delivering Drug and Alcohol Awareness Training and Current and Emerging Trends in Young People’s Substance Misuse Training to professionals, e.g. foster carers, school teachers, wellbeing and LQBT services An opportunity to help deliver engaging group sessions at youth clubs across the city during after-hours activities. 17/1/2026 Gemma Kershaw | gemma.kershaw@cgl.org.uk | 07760559108 Please note that we require you to be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this volunteering role.
