Our client, a trusted provider of cloud and managed communications services is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their dynamic team. As the Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in the legal function transformation by streamlining standard contracts and the negotiation process. You will also collaborate with various business areas to support transactions and apply your legal expertise to resolve matters. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to draft training materials and educate the business on key legal areas and risks. Supporting and mentoring junior team members will also be part of your responsibilities. What will you be doing? Providing strategic legal advice to support the organisation's objectives and operations. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal agreements, including contracts, licences, and commercial agreements. Conducting legal research and staying up-to-date with the latest developments in legislation and case law. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and manage legal risks. Assisting with the development of policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance. What are we looking for? Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3 years experience in commercial law, either gained from private practice or in-house. Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, technology and data protection, and demonstrable experience in providing legal advice in this field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence key stakeholders. Proactive and results-oriented, with a track record of delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines. Ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion.
