The Role:
We are looking for a detail-focused and motivated Operations Operative to join our team in a hands-on role that is vital to the efficient running of our warehouse and delivery operations. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate stock management, supporting pick-and-pack processes, and helping to deliver outstanding service to our customers.
Role Responsibilities:
Work closely with colleagues to maintain a smooth and efficient warehouse operation.
Utilise our WMS system to accurately pick customer orders, manage stock levels through goods-in processes, and conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment to ensure health & safety compliance.
Assist in loading our in-house delivery fleet, ensuring orders are accurate to minimise errors.
As required carry out multiple-drop deliveries to meet customer demands.
Use forklifts and pallet trucks to sort, transport, and store goods-in materials, ensuring proper placement in racking or shelving.
Perform thorough quality control checks on incoming goods, record findings, and communicate issues to the Operations Manager.
Represent the business professionally by assisting customers collecting orders at the depot, ensuring a positive experience.
Conduct regular checks on equipment, perform risk assessments, and strictly adhere to health and safety guidelines to protect yourself and others.
Skills & Attributes:
* Full UK Driving License.
* Forklift License (RTIB-certified).
* Physical ability to lift, carry, and move goods throughout the warehouse.
* Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and distribution processes.
* High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in stock management and order picking.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
* Strong organisational skills with a focus on safety compliance.
* Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.
