East Lothian, Health & Social Care Partnership seeks a highly motivated and experienced Social Work practitioner. This role reports to and collaborates with our governance and quality assurance manager within adult social work services.
You will contribute to the professional development of adult social work services and be an effective team member, providing a responsive, needs-led service.
Your responsibilities include supporting social work governance and quality assurance, collating findings, and generating reports. Experience in monitoring and evaluating service delivery is essential. Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, policies, and guidance related to self-directed support and adult protection is also essential. You will advise service users and groups about available services and participate in developing policies and procedures.

Working closely with the Quality Assurance and Governance manager, the Service Improvement Officer will develop and implement key processes across Adult Social Work Services, focusing on Adult Support and Protection, data analysis, performance, and quality assurance. This role will support the East Lothian Health & Social Care Partnership’s Adult Support and Protection Improvement plan, engaging with professionals, staff, and service users to gather feedback and ensure services meet the National Health and Wellbeing Outcomes.

Job Requirements
Education/Qualifications
Essential: Approved qualification in Social Work.
Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
International qualifications must be fully registered with the SSSC.
Desirable: Post-qualifying award.
Driving Licence
Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle.*

PVG Membership
