Are you a technically strong professional in residential construction with a background in high-rise and complex build types? We're on the lookout for a Senior Technical Coordinator or Technical Manager to help manage the design process of high-quality residential developments for a fast-growing, design-led developer.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work on an exclusive project in the Birmingham area, with a strong focus on high-rise, concrete frame residential schemes. You'll coordinate the technical aspects of development from pre-planning through to delivery, ensuring buildability, regulatory compliance, and exceptional quality throughout.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and coordinate the design process across all stages of high-rise residential developments
2. Oversee technical detailing for concrete frame structures and complex construction elements
3. Lead the preparation and submission of BSR (Building Safety Regulator) Applications
4. Collaborate with architects, consultants, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery
5. Ensure full compliance with building regulations, NHBC standards, and planning conditions
6. Conduct buildability and value engineering reviews during pre-construction
7. Provide technical support to procurement and construction teams on site
8. Identify and resolve technical risks, ensuring smooth progression through key gateways
What We're Looking For
1. Experience in a technical role within a similar residential developer or contractor, ideally involving high-rise schemes
2. Solid understanding of concrete frame construction methods
3. Hands-on experience preparing BSR Gateway 2 Applications (and/or familiarity with Building Safety Act requirements)
4. Strong knowledge of UK housing standards, planning, and regulatory processes
5. RIBA Part 3 qualified with a BA in Architectural Design (or equivalent)
6. Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
7. Detail-driven, solution-oriented, and confident working on large-scale developments
