About the Firm:
Our client is a well-established, full-service law firm with a broad commercial client base. The firm primarily supports SMEs, while also advising occasional PLCs and insurance-sector clients.
The employment team works closely with the corporate department, providing integrated legal support on transactions, restructures and business-critical employment matters.
This collaborative approach ensures exposure to high-quality work and strategic advisory matters beyond day-to-day employment issues.
The Role – Employment Solicitor:
This position sits within a small but growing employment team led by the Head of Employment, alongside a junior Solicitor and a paralegal. The new hire will sit between the Head of Department and a junior level Solicitor, offering clear progression and meaningful responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advising employer clients on a full spectrum of employment law matters
* Managing respondent employment tribunal matters
* Drafting and advising on contracts, policies and procedures
* Supporting the corporate team on employment aspects of:
o Business acquisitions and disposals
o TUPE matters
o Restructures and workforce planning
* Providing commercially focused, practical advice to SMEs and occasional PLC clients
* Collaborating closely with colleagues across corporate and commercial teams
* This is a varied and strategic role, offering exposure to both contentious and non-contentious employment law, as well as corporate support work.

Your Profile:
We are keen to speak with:
* Employment Solicitors with upward of 2 years' PQE
* Lawyers with strong respondent/employer-side experience
* Candidates with exposure to corporate transactional support work (advantageous)
* Generalist employment law practitioners comfortable across advisory and contentious matters
