Overview
Apprentice Imaging department Assistant, to train and work alongside the CT/MRI Imaging Department within James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The closing date is 25 September 2025.
Responsibilities
* Liaising and booking inpatient and ED scans to ensure good patient flow and a timely diagnostic service.
* Assist patients with the process – mobilising, changing, etc.
* Attending patients at reception.
* Stocktaking and cleaning between patients.
* Work alongside radiographers, radiologists, nurses and porters to ensure all patients attending receive a good experience.
* Undertake admin and clinical duties as specified in the job description.

Job responsibilities
The assistants work alongside radiographers, radiologists, nurses and porters on a daily basis to ensure all patients attending receive a good experience. Our patients primarily come from inpatient areas, the Emergency department, GP, Outpatient referrals and other community locations. This role requires the successful candidate to undertake admin and clinical duties as specified in the job description. As part of the role the successful candidate will be required to complete a Level 2 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship Standard. You will be employed on a 15 month fixed term contract for 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will have a minimum of four GCSEs grade 3/D or above including Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
