Warehouse Operative | Glasgow | £14.20 p/h
Are you a proactive logistics professional looking to join a dynamic Managed Services team? We are seeking a Warehouse Operative for a key onsite role in Glasgow (G41 1RR). This position offers a blend of physical activity, technical stock control, and high-level customer interaction.
The Package
Pay Rate: £14.20 per hour.
Salary Equivalent: £26,900.
Contract: 6 months with a possibility to extend.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00 or 09:00-17:00 (37.5 hours per week).
Start Date: ASAP.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will ensure the flawless execution of stockroom management and supply chain operations. Your day-to-day will involve:
Inventory Control: Performing replenishments, disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, and cycle counts.
Customer Support: Handling order entry, expediting, resolving service calls, and processing return goods
Logistics: Delivering direct shipment orders to end-users across the site
Compliance: Following strictly defined SOPs, work instructions, and safety Best Practices.
What You Bring
Experience: Proven track record in warehousing and stock control.
Skills: Proficiency in computer use and intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
Interpersonal: Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Physicality: Ability to walk extensively and consistently lift/push/pull 15kg to 20kg.
Equipment: Ability to use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and push carts.
Work Environment
You will work primarily at customer locations, including shipping/receiving docks, stock rooms, and laboratory environments. While the standard shift is fixed, candidates should have the flexibility to perform overtime if required. PPE will be provided where necessary.
