The Suffolk Association of Local Councils (SALC) is looking for an Engagement Coordinator.
The role
To lead and coordinate SALC's support to the sector for Suffolk's Nationally Strategic Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) ensuring that local councils and parish meetings are equipped to engage effectively at each stage of the process.
You will develop approaches, utilise, and bring to life published guidance by designing practical tools, deliver workshops, work with other experts and partners and provide updates and information. The postholder, on occasion, will also be required to travel across parts of Suffolk.
Main responsibilities
* Work closely with town and parish councils and parish meetings.
* Create partnerships and inform stakeholders across the sector in Suffolk and beyond to help streamline communication for each project.
* Research best practice both nationally and locally, analyse issues, trends and adapt guidance and support accordingly.
* Create blogs, newsletters, briefings, and host workshops.
You don't need to be a planning expert, as in particular we are looking for someone who:
* has a good standard of literacy and numeracy
* is self-driven and analytically minded
* has proven skills in managing projects
* is an excellent communicator and a team player with a talent for building awareness and engagement.
