Appointments will be made in line with the established pay scales for teaching roles (M1-M5), ranging from £31,650 to £40,439 for the 2024/25 academic year. Placement on the scale will depend on the candidate's teaching experience and qualifications. Further pay progression details can be discussed during the interview.

Your Role as a Cleaning Tutor
We seek an enthusiastic, learner-focused Cleaning Tutor to join our Education team at HMP Peterborough. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to impact offenders' lives by providing practical qualifications and supporting their learning journey.
You will plan and deliver engaging sessions to help prisoners achieve recognised cleaning qualifications. Your approach should be dynamic and tailored to meet individual learner needs, including those with undiagnosed learning difficulties or low confidence. Responsibilities include tracking progress, managing classroom behaviour, and creating a positive learning environment that encourages self-belief and independence.
Enjoy smaller class sizes, no term-time constraints, and no work to take home. Dedicated time for administration and on-site learner files allow you to focus on impactful teaching and support.
