The Role
To undertake care duties for patients in support of and delegated by the Registered Nurse, within a hospital or
community setting. The post-holder will require to work without direct supervision on a regular basis, referring
to the registered nurse as required.

What we'll need you to bring
1. SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring
2. environment/role.
3. Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
4. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
6. Ability to work unsupervised.
7. To actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development.
8. Working knowledge of basic information technology

It would be great if you also have
9. Experience of working with people with long term mental health/ LD problems
10. Experience of working in inpatient setting
11. Knowledge of the issues that can affect people suffering from long term mental health issues and learning disabilities.

Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Older People's Functional Mental Health Acute Admission within University Hospital Wishaw.
The working pattern for this role will be various. 5/7 days per week.
