Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Teacher of English, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to teach at Key Stage 5.

Inspire students to develop their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, as well as their critical understanding and appreciation for English.

Foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere within the English Department, promoting teamwork and shared best practices.

Organise and lead a diverse range of extracurricular English activities, community projects, and events that enhance student engagement and showcase their talents.

Contribute to student assessment and progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.

Act as a form tutor, contributing to the pastoral care and overall well-being of students.

Actively contribute to the wider life of the school community, promoting the value of English across all disciplines.
Who We're Looking For
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in English at degree level or equivalent.
*
Proven experience teaching English successfully across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Demonstrable experience teaching English effectively at Key Stage 5 (A-Level) is highly desirable.

A genuine passion for English and a commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity and academic achievement in students.
