Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our client based in Wiltshire, working on a hybrid basis. This is a hands-on role requiring candidates who can operate at pace, provide high-quality professional advice, and manage a varied and complex employee relations caseload.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior HR Advisor include:
* Providing end-to-end management of disciplinary, grievance, workplace performance, and other complex HR casework
* Confidently guiding and influencing managers through challenging HR matters to ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes
* Building strong relationships with managers and stakeholders, offering proactive and practical HR advice
* Working closely with colleagues during the initial weeks to fully embed in the team and understand processes
The ideal Senior HR Advisor will:
* Experienced in handling disciplinary and grievance cases and complex HR case management.
* Skilled at providing professional HR advice to managers and staff at a senior level.
* Able to operate with resilience and discretion in sensitive, high-risk situations.
* Solutions-focused, proactive, people-centred, and passionate about delivering excellent HR practice.
* Familiarity with schools or education settings is highly desirable, particularly knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance and safeguarding principles.
Working Arrangements:
* Office vs Home: County Hall, Trowbridge is the main hub. Initially, you will be expected to work 100% in the office to meet colleagues, managers, and embed within the team. After the induction period, a 50% office-based schedule will be expected.

The Senior HR Advisor will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands, whilst working in a high-pressured environment.
