The Commercial Excellence Manager will drive commercial performance across a sustainable build environment UK PLC. This role focuses on pricing discipline, revenue management, CRM optimisation, and structured sales process improvement. Working across multiple brands, the position ensures commercial teams are equipped to sell effectively, consistently, and profitably. It requires strong collaboration, stakeholder influence, and the ability to implement repeatable processes that deliver measurable improvements in sales effectiveness and revenue quality.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing & Revenue Management
* Develop and maintain pricing frameworks, guardrails, and approval processes across divisonal brands.
* Support implementation of pricing strategies balancing margin, competitiveness, and sustainability objectives.
* Partner with Sales and Finance to analyse price performance, discounting patterns, and margin erosion, identifying areas for improvement.
* Drive adoption of consistent quoting, tender, and deal review processes.
CRM & Sales Process Effectiveness
* Lead the Salesforce roadmap and adoption plan across divisional commercial teams.
* Define and embed consistent sales stages, pipeline hygiene standards, lead management processes, and account planning tools.
* Ensure high data accuracy and build dashboards for management visibility and decision-making.
* Train and coach sales teams on CRM and tool usage.
Commercial Reporting & Insights
* Oversee development of robust sales performance reporting, including pipeline health, pricing trends, conversion metrics, and customer behaviour analysis.
* Translate commercial data into actionable recommendations to improve sales execution and support the sustainable built environment.
* Support forecasting accuracy and identify revenue growth opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Partner with marketing, supply chain, and operations to align commercial initiatives with sustainable built environment objectives.
Sales Enablement & Capability Development
* Lead training and coaching programmes to uplift sales process discipline and commercial acumen.
* Support the onboarding of new sales personnel to ensure consistent ways of working and tool usage.
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in pricing and revenue management.
* Strong background in Revenue Management and Commercial Excellence. B2B specification sales experience preferred.
* Working knowledge of Salesforce (or equivalent CRM) and sales process enablement.
* Demonstrated success in improving pricing discipline, sales processes, or commercial insight reporting.
* Analytical mindset with experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
* Ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and brands.
* Understanding of low-carbon or built environment sectors is advantageous but not essential.
Desirable Qualifications
* Salesforce Administrator Certification.
* Experience with pricing tools or commercial policy development.
* Degree in Business, Engineering, Commercial Management, or related discipline.
