What Youll Be Doing:
* Strategic Planning: Lead and contribute to the development of effective planning strategies for a wide range of urban and rural projects.
* Planning Applications: Prepare, manage, and submit residential planning applications, ensuring compliance with local and national policy.
* Policy Guidance: Provide clear, expert advice to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders, keeping up to date with legislation and regulatory changes.
* Appeals Management: Take ownership of planning appeals, preparing documentation, representing proposals, and liaising with legal advisors when required.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with local planning authorities, statutory consultees, and community stakeholders to support project success.
* Representation: Confidently represent projects at planning committee meetings, public consultations, and other forums.
About You:
* Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
* Minimum 3 years experience in a similar planning role.
* Proven track record of working with residential planning applications.
* Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and legislation.
* Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
* Confident in representing clients/projects in both formal and public settings.
* RTPI membership (or working towards it) is desirable.
