Job summary

Are you passionate about driving clinical excellence and ensuring the highest standards across temporary staffing? We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team, ensuring that all temporary staff meet robust clinical, compliance, and performance standards. We're looking for someone who is:

* Experienced in clinical governance, compliance, and performance management.
* Able to confidently manage sensitive or complex issues with professionalism and integrity.
* Collaborative, organised, and committed to improving temporary staffing processes.

Responsibilities

* Lead the implementation and oversight of a clinical competence framework for all temporary staff, ensuring statutory training, certifications, and role-specific skills are completed and maintained.
* Provide clinical assurance by reviewing and signing off compliance packs and ensuring smooth onboarding processes for new starters.
* Support operational managers with observed practice reviews, performance management, and professional development for bank staff.
* Act as the key escalation point for any clinical concerns or adverse events, ensuring timely resolution and robust governance.
* Collaborate closely with the Temporary Staffing Operational Lead, agency partners, and system-wide leads to deliver consistency, best practice, and continual service improvement.
* Oversee clinical documentation, policies, and projects to ensure compliance with legislation and service excellence.
* Represent the organisation at regional meetings as a subject matter expert and ambassador.

Person Specification

Qualifications

* Essential: Professional clinical qualification, ideally in Nursing or AHP

Experience

* Essential: Proven experience in delivering a high-quality, professional service and supporting operational managers
* Essential: Be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment and deal with complex and/or unexpected issues and challenges
* Essential: Able to identify issues and risks quickly and devise innovative and practical solutions which take account of all stakeholder requirements
* Essential: Experience of managing high volumes of people-related information effectively and efficiently, using modern methodology
* Essential: Experience of delivering performance management including PDRs, appraisals, 121 coaching discussions etc. for clinical roles in a care & health setting
* Desirable: Experience of working in community care & health
* Desirable: Working knowledge of Allocate and ESR systems
* Desirable: Experience of implementing policies which impact beyond own area of activity under service development
* Desirable: Working knowledge of recruitment practices including temporary workers
