Overview
Day Shift Team Leader - Children\'s Residential Home at JLL Living | Poland.
A Day Team Leader at SuperCare provides both structure and compassion in a home where children live with autism, ADHD, severe learning disabilities, and complex communication needs. The children here thrive when their routines are clear, their communication is understood, and the adults around them stay calm and consistent. You\'ll be the one who helps hold the day together, guiding staff through challenges and celebrating small but important victories with the children.
Every day you\'ll strike a balance between being hands-on with care and stepping back to ensure the team is confident and aligned. You\'ll be the point of stability others look to when things feel difficult, and the children will know you as someone who listens, cares, and always shows up.
This home has proudly achieved "Good" in its first Ofsted rating and is working towards "Outstanding"!
What You\'ll Do
You\'ll be leading a shift supporting young people with severe to profound learning disabilities. Although no two days are the same you will:
* Lead shifts, ensuring routines and care plans are followed with consistency.
* Provide personal care and support with medication, always maintaining dignity.
* Guide staff in responding calmly to behaviours such as spitting, biting, or smearing.
* Use communication supports like PECS, Makaton, and visual timetables to reduce anxiety and build trust.
* Act as a bridge between staff, families, schools, and external professionals, making sure children\'s needs are understood and met.
* Encourage reflection and resilience in the team, keeping morale strong even on challenging days.
What We\'re Looking For
We\'re looking for someone who combines experience with compassion:
* At least 3 years of experience in SEN, residential care, or learning disability support.
* Level 3 Diploma in Children\'s Care (or equivalent).
* Skilled in autism support, ADHD, and managing challenging behaviour.
* A reflective leader who can stay calm under pressure and encourage others to do the same.
* Organised, dependable, and full of heart.
The young people in this home are incredibly active, with some adults crossing 20,000+ steps per day supporting them, so active people are always welcome!
Benefits
* Salary 20% above sector average
* Rota: 07:30-22:30 (1 day on, 2 days off)
