Priory Hospital Woodbourne is looking to recruit an Activity Coordinator. What you'll be doing
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
* Support senior staff with patient screening and assessments as part of the care and therapy planning process.
* Prepares, plans and delivers group and individual recreational and occupational activities, observing, recording and reporting patient responses to the assigned clinician as appropriate.
* Ensures the effective, timely and accurate updating of clinical records, case files and computerised information systems as directed.
* Contributes to surveys, audits and clinical research projects assisting with collection, analysis and presentation of data and information as directed.
What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will be educated to GCSE/O-Level standard (grades A–C) or possess a relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification. They will have experience gained within a related clinical or therapeutic environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of patient care. Due to the nature of the role, which involves frequent interaction with staff, patients, and visitors, excellent communication skills are essential. Well-developed observational and listening abilities are also crucial for effectively assessing patients and supporting their therapeutic needs.
