Raytheon UK
At Raytheon UK, we take immense pride in being a leader in defence and aerospace technology. As an employer, we are dedicated to fuelling innovation, nurturing talent, and fostering a culture of excellence.
Joining our team means being part of an organisation that shapes the future of national security whilst investing in your growth and personal development. We provide a collaborative environment, abundant opportunities for professional development, and a profound sense of purpose in what we do. Together, we are not just advancing technology; we're building a community committed to safeguarding a safer and more connected world.
About the role:
At Raytheon UK we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager or aspiring Programme Manager to join our team. We are looking for an energetic and confident person to join the team and take the lead on several new programmes, as well as support the continued growth of the business.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to global security and safety, whilst also learning and developing your own skills and knowledge. Together the Air Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) Team delivers a varied range of programmes, from production, development, integration and support. This can be to customers directly, or through other key defence companies and Raytheon entities.
Our business has the benefit for working in a challenging environment: a complex engineering and legislative environment with frequent changes - we are therefore keen to hear from someone who can create momentum within a programme, work effectively with other team members to deliver results and adapt to change. A key benefit to this role, given the rapid growth in the ATMS business area, is the opportunity to travel to visit customers and suppliers both nationally and internationally.
Responsibilities:
Working within the ATMS team, as part of the wider business unit, the successful candidate will execute and support a range of technically challenging programmes. Establishing and growing effective relationships with both new and existing customers is key. Success will require innovative thinking, forward planning, and an ability to react quickly to changes. As a valuable member of the ATMS team, identifying and securing new opportunities, working collaboratively with the wider company, and creating an inclusive environment for your team to grow are important to the success of this role.
There will be significant exposure and excellent opportunity to advance within the company.
As part of the day-to-day activities the role requires delivery of programmes, ensuring on-time deliveries, customer satisfaction, and high-quality deliverables. There will be opportunities to take on wider activities across the company, and a broad interest in what the wider Company does would be a highly desirable quality.
Below are both the Essential and Desirable candidate qualities. At Raytheon our priority is culture: we are keen to hear from people with the right attitude, values and willingness to learn, therefore even if you feel you do not meet most of the qualities, we still encourage you to apply.
