At Teva Runcorn, we develop, manufacture and market innovative and affordable medicines, specialising in sterile liquid products mainly used for treating respiratory conditions using Blow-Fill-Seal technology as well as injectable Combination Products such as our MS treatment Copaxone.
A Day In The Life Of A Packaging Technician
Within this role, you will ultimately be responsible as the final checkpoint, for each high grade pharma product batch that leaves our site. You’ll be packing, setting-up, operating, monitoring and improving all automated packing equipment used to create our blow-fill-seal nebules or pre-filled syringes. You can take pride that your actions enable Teva’s patients to receive lifesaving/enhancing medication each day.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Taking great care to ensure all equipment is operating at agreed standards - Monitoring equipment performance, fault find and make appropriate adjustments
2. Assist, where appropriate in basic equipment maintenance - As instructed by the Engineering team
3. Taking accountability in adhering to Health and Safety procedures and good working practices to minimise accidents/incidents
4. Perform packaging operational duties to enhance overall quality of the final product
5. Ensuring good housekeeping standards are met within packaging area(s) and in accordance with cGMP
6. Take ownership of reporting any instances of non-conformance are communicated to management team
Who We Are Looking For
Are you a recent graduate with a Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline who has a passion for working in a business which improves patients’ lives?
Or alternatively you may have experience of working on a packing line in a highly regulated environment such as food manufacturing, pharma, medical devices or any other similar environment, without a degree background.
