About the Role
As Planner you will lead a Merchandising Planning team, oversee a key brand, and help identify opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
* Critically analyze trade reports, and utilize own knowledge to influence forecasting and promotional/MD planning.
* Influence trade actions that impact Division/channel performance.
* Drive and optimize line card process, communicating impacts to department KPIs for key stakeholders.
* Ensure the department maximizes KPI opportunities and minimizes KPI risks by successfully managing the WSSI.
* Understand long‑term sales plans and translate them into department KPIs.
* Oversee inventory management process and work cross‑functionally to provide solutions for reaching end‑of‑season stock targets and average cost turn, communicating KPI impacts to management.
* Use hindsight assessment to formulate the financial building blocks required for strategy planning.
* Partner and influence buying counterparts to formulate the department’s forward strategy, critically assessing risks and opportunities while providing sound solutions.
* Own the OTB process, influencing buying counterparts to meet department KPIs through optimizing buying strategies and OTB management, demonstrating flexibility to maximize opportunities.
* Responsible for overseeing seasonal markdowns and communicating them to stores.
* Work efficiently and set department priorities.
* Utilize knowledge of brand positioning and market analysis to help shape future strategies.
* Oversee regular store visits and competitor reviews.
