Wakefield Council are offering an excellent opportunity to join our Governance and Planning team within the Technology Service.
This is an exciting time to join us, during a period of significant transformational change, with the Technology Service being at the heart.
The post holder will work within the Enterprise Architecture teams supporting the DigitalArchitect, in the development and enforcement of technical IT standards, policies, procedures and processes for the whole Council. To contribute to and maintain documentation relating to technical IT standards. To assist in the delivery of Technology projects using approved project management and Information Security and Governance methodologies. Contribution to, and compilation of management reports using various Microsoft tools. To be an advocate for good enterprise architecture practices.
The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, a good knowledge of cloud principles, models and technologies, knowledge of Enterprise Architecture concepts and local authority standards.
Training and development will be given to further develop skills in these areas.
The successful candidate should be flexible, well-motivated, be able to produce clear and concise documentation and be comfortable communicating with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
