We have a fabulous opportunity for a graduate to join us at The Hastings Academy to begin their career as a Teacher of Maths. Commencing in January 2026, you will receive supported on-the-job training for 4 days of the week, and for one day each week you will complete your Teacher Training with our Apprenticeship provider, for a minimum period of 12 months. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you may be employed at an alternative local academy should a suitable vacancy not be available at The Hastings Academy. Interested? It has a published admissions number of 180 (900 pupils in total) and hosts a special facility for up to 10 young people with speech, language, and communication difficulties. Remote PPA: All teaching staff are entitled to one afternoon of remote PPA per week, allowing them to work from home during this time. No doubles. No burnout. Well-Being Ambassadors & Weeks: Our school has designated staff responsible for promoting well-being, feeding back directly to leadership and organising well-being weeks. Two-Week October Half Term: Our autumn term is the longest of the year. Instead of running an exhausting 8-week block followed by 7 more, we ve redesigned the calendar into two balanced 7-week half terms.
