The Resilience & Stabilisation Programme uses coaching techniques to empower individuals in improving their mental wellbeing. We provide practical support in finding and developing techniques to enable individuals to build positive coping strategies for day-to-day issues and challenges that impact negatively on their mental health. We take a client centred approach and seek to concentrate on the here & now with the aim, where necessary, of enabling & empowering individuals to address more longer standing or deeper-rooted personal challenges. Being part of the delivery support team, the main job purpose is to support the Service Manager and delivery team in effectively managing incoming referrals, right through to the completion of service. They are responsible for processing the incoming referrals that we receive from secondary care services, completing a service suitability assessment with each client, and exiting them when they have completed treatment. They are the warm welcome into our service.

Key Responsibilities
1. To be responsible for managing incoming referrals, liaising with referring teams to ensure appropriateness and performing the administrative upload into our system
2. To perform outgoing calls to complete a service suitability assessment with the client, documenting client need, risk and where appropriate signposting other services that may support the client. Sometimes this can be face to face.
3. To monitor client referral trends to report back to the service manager
4. Managing their own caseload & appropriately diarising tasks
5. To keep abreast of local services and to develop a working knowledge of services & support available within the area
6. Participate in team meetings and reflective practices, supporting colleagues & working collaboratively to best serve our clients and improve the R&S Programme & elements of delivery.
7. To maintain a boundaried and professional approach with Clients
8. To ensure service delivery meets organisational values & standards and is compliant with relevant regulatory frameworks (eg GDPR)
9. To actively promote the aims and principles of Nottinghamshire Mind and take part in any Nottinghamshire Mind activities as directed.
Person Specification
Experience & Qualifications
1. Experience of using social care skills working face to face with the public, some of whom may present as emotionally upset or angry from time to time.
2. Experience of using client record systems to accurately read and record information
Knowledge
1. Knowledge of social care and the issues of supporting people with a range of mental health issues, including risk assessment.
2. An understanding of Microsoft packages including word and excel.
Abilities
1. Ability to motivate people to engage with people who experience a range of mental health issues.
2. Ability to assess risks associated with clients and offer various pathway options and promote client autonomy.
3. Ability to work with a wide range of clients, some of which may present in mental health crisis
4. Ability to work as part of a team and to work on own initiative.
5. Ability to liaise and communicate with colleagues, volunteers, external agencies and the public.
6. Ability to carry out a range of office tasks (telephone, word processing, taking bookings, report writing, using databases) accurately and without supervision.
7. Ability to be a confident and effective communicator.
8. Ability to manage time effectively and work effectively to meet contractual obligations
